The 4 Pillars Behind Gatekeeper’s Multi-Factor Intelligent Security

Intelligent Security

Our approach towards Multi-Factor Intelligent Security is all about trying to cover as many bases as possible, creating for a more secure tomorrow.

Multi-factor authentication is a general principle by which Gatekeeper designs and develops our products around, but we take it a step further with our own approach we call Multi-Factor Intelligent Security. MFIS utilizes a number of Gatekeeper solutions, all packaged into one easy-to-user integrated platform, making daily operation efficient and smooth. These factors of authentication include facial recognition, vehicle classification, undercarriage detection, and license plate detection, which we believe are the most critical elements to vehicle inspection security. Here are the four pillars that drive our Multi-Factor Intelligent Security system and why we’ve integrated them the way we have.

1. License Plate Detection

With advanced machine learning in hand, our license plate detection system is able to capture high-resolution images of vehicle license plates. This provides the end-user with not only the alpha-numeric value of the plate, but the country and state of origin. This system works in any environmental conditions that may come your way, meaning things will still be up and running even in extreme weather.

2. Vehicle Classification

The same kind of machine learning that makes license plate detection possible also allows us to identify the make, model, and color of a vehicle. This additional element of authentication can be a critical element when securing borders or controlling who can access a facility, as well as for use in identification of vehicles for use in analytics.

3. Facial Recognition

Working in real-time, our facial recognition systems are able to detect and recognize not just the driver, but all vehicle occupants. This functions in conditions that other driver camera systems don’t, including night time, during inclement weather, when under high-glare sunlight, and even through heavily tinted glass.

4. Undercarriage Threat Detection

Advanced signal processing is what gives our undercarriage threat detection the necessary “oomph” to create a digital fingerprint of any vehicle that passes over it. With this, the make and model of the vehicle is then detected and any foreign objects, dangerous modifications, or anomalies of interest are indicated for the user. Alerts are also sent regarding any of those potential threats, all within just a few seconds.
