GatePost: the Remote Sentry

GatePost is the centerpiece of Gatekeeper Security’s biometric access Entry Control Point System (ECPS). GatePost is a fully automated inspection and vehicle driver/passenger identification system. GatePost is designed to allow the checkpoint personnel to remotely identify the driver and passengers by using identification cards, fingerprints and other forms of identification to match the person with information already in the customer’s Registration Database. Security personnel may further question the visitor(s) via two-way digital voice intercom.  The high-resolution PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera with up to 35X optical zoom to further identify the driver (and passengers) and to visually search the inside of the vehicle.

Used in conjunction with Gatekeeper’s Automatic Under Vehicle Inspection System (AUVIS), GatePost equips security personnel with a high level of authentication for vehicles, drivers and passengers while keeping security personnel safely away from snipers or vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs).

COMPONENTS

• Powerful pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera with 35X optical zoom, low light sensitivity and LED auxiliary spot light.

• Intuitive, fast-response, joystick camera controller enables the operator to scan a wide area and zoom in to identify drivers and passengers and visually search vehicle for suspicious contents.
• Hands-free, two-way digital voice communication system with up to 18 preprogrammed messages (available in almost any language).
• The System Monitor (screen shot shown above) can be situated at a significant standoff distance from the ECPS. Security personnel, via the monitor, can verify whether a driver/passenger and their vehicle are authorized to enter a facility. Monitor includes both interpreter and operator headsets – instructions such as “OPEN WINDOWS,” “OPEN TRUNK,” “PULL ON HAND BRAKE,” “KEEP HANDS IN CLEAR VIEW,” etc. or gives instruction in the use of finger print or ID scanner.
• Interchangeable Fingerprint Reader and/or ID Scanner (capable of also reading magnetic strip and/or bar code); single finger scanners capture and process single finger flat or rolled fingerprint images.
• Vascular scanner scans the back of the hand is also available as the perfect substitute for the fingerprint reader where cracked, cut or dirty fingers are a problem.
• Enrollment Module with Registration Database.
