Wang is a co-founder of Gatekeeper and the company's CTO. He has 20 years of hardware and software development and project management experience. Wang has expertise with optical systems, digital imaging, computer vision and Internet communications technologies. He has extensive development experience with embedded computing, high performance data processing and digital image analysis algorithms as applied to artificial intelligence-based security systems.
Previously, Wang worked as a system architect, infrastructure manager and chief engineer for various companies including Sun Microsystems, Philips, Huawei Technologies and iCentric Software. He led start-up projects in telephone switching systems, web browsing set-top-box, mobile phone software and web-based enrollment applications.
Wang started his study of computer vision while receiving his master's degree in robotics from Nanyang Technological University. His bachelor's degree in computer science was earned at the University of Science and Technology of China, in the prestigious Special Class for Gifted Youth.
